People are drawn to companies that value diversity and inclusion. An inclusive environment where employees feel important no matter what race, gender, or cultural background they come from can increase their satisfaction and retention rate.
While more and more organizations are paying attention to the diversity of the working space, it is sometimes difficult for the talent acquisition teams to set the right expectations for the size of the diverse talent pool when sourcing.
Understand the Size of Your Diverse Talent Pool
With hireEZ's Insights report, you are able to view the number of candidates from multiple underrepresented groups before you start the sourcing task.
Here we use the Software Engineer in the Bay Area as an example. To start, go to the Insights tab. Type in the Job Title, Location, and any other details that you want to include in your sourcing project. When you are ready, click on Generate insights to view the result.
Scroll down the report and you will be able to see the Diversity section and view the percentage of each group in your talent pool. You can use the data to set the right expectation about the number of underrepresented candidates. You may click on any hyperlinked bars to view the profiles of the candidates.
Please note, at the moment only the Woman filter works worldwide, the Hispanic filter works in both U.S. and Canada and the Asian filter works in the U.S., Canada, and most of the European countries*. The Black or African American filter works also works in the U.S., Canada, and most European countries*. When searching in these countries, the chart will be marked as "Black (Non-U.S. Countries Only)." The Veteran and Native American filters only work in the U.S.

View the Insights of Professionals from Specific Groups
To view the insights of certain underrepresented groups, go to the Diversity filter on the page and select the group(s) that you want to focus on from the drop-down menu. As shown in the screenshot, you may select multiple groups at the same time and the logic among them is OR.

Remember to click on Generate insights button to refresh the page. In the Diversity section, you will find the selected groups marked in bold, but there are indicators for other groups as well. This is because some professionals are included in more than one group, e.g. a person could be both a Woman and Hispanic.
In this way, the report will indicate the Top Titles, Skills, Companies, Average Market Values, and other information of the specific group(s) that you have listed. You may use these insights when sourcing and reaching out to the candidates.
You can always Export and share the report with other team members or Start AI Sourcing directly from the Insights page if you are satisfied with the results.

*The European countries include the United Kingdom, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Latvia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Croatia, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Malta, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, Estonia, Portugal, Finland, Romania, France, Slovakia, Germany, Slovenia, Greece, Spain, Hungary, Sweden, Ireland.
