The email tracking data is located in the Sequences and Templates sections under the Messages tab. In this article, you will find out:
How to Track the Open and Click Rates of the Emails
When you are sending out the engagement campaign, either as sequences or single emails, you can choose if you want hireEZ to track the status of the email. To do that, you could click the button "Review" to get the tracking data from Tracking, hireEZ will then track if your recipient has clicked on the links that you included in the email.
For best practices, we recommend you turn on the feature and check data for every email campaign to get an idea of the times and templates that have relatively better open and response rates. The engagement tracking provides you with the insight to further help inform your future engagement strategy.
hireEZ’s engagement tracks data by email campaign, no matter if it's a single email or email sequence, and no matter if it's an email to a single candidate or candidate group.
You can check if your emails have been opened or clicked on the Messages --> Outbox --> Recipients site.
Note: if you delete any steps from a sequence template and choose not to save the modified one as a new sequence, the status of the messages will not be tracked.
View the Status of Email Sequences
Go to the Message tab and click on Sequences. Here you can view all email sequence templates. To view the status of the email sequence, simply click on the email sequence you'd like to view.
Once you have clicked the email sequence you would like to view, you will be directed to the page below.

Here you will find the following information:

-
All Recipients: The total number of recipients receiving the email sequence
-

-
Completed: The number of recipients who have received the complete email sequence or have replied to one of your emails
Sequence Tracking
-

-

Pro tips: adjust the content of your sequence based on the data indicated here
-
If a sequence has a high open rate but a low response rate, you may adjust the content of your emails.
-
If the open rate is generally low, you may want to adjust the subject line of the emails.
-
If there are many bounced emails, you should double-check the contact information of your candidates. Typically, you can expect the bounce rate to be between 3-4%.
-
You may also create A/B Tests, i.e. to make two sets of engagement sequences on the same topic, to determine what content piques the candidates' interest and increases the number of candidates that are opening and/or responding to your messages.
You have the option to filter the metrics by specific emails within an email sequence. As shown in the screenshot above, along with All Steps, you can also choose to view the data specified for the 1st Touch and Follow-up 1 messages. If it is a shared sequence template, you can use the button in the upper right corner to View My Stats Only.
If you are the Admin of the team, you will be able to choose to view the sequence sender of each team member individually.

Recipient
-
You can view tracked data for each recipient. You will be provided with the recipient name, the status of the email sequence (Scheduled, Cancelled, Finished, Bounced), the last step when the last email was sent when the next email is scheduled, and finally if the recipient has opened, clicked, and/or replied to your email sequence.
-
You have an option to search for specific recipients.
-
You can Cancel your email sequence to one, selected, or all recipients.
-
You can Edit, Cancel, or Remove specific recipients by clicking on the three horizontal dots on the right. If the campaign has been cancelled, you will have the option here to Restart the sequence.
View the Status of Single Emails
Go to the Messages tab and click on Templates. Here you can view the status of all single email templates.
You can search for templates based on Owner, or search for Template Names or Subjects.
Here, you are able to check the number and percentages of the messages that were delivered, opened, clicked, and replied to. Similar to the analysis of sequence data, you can adjust and modify the content of your templates or create A/B Tests to improve each template's open/click/reply rate.
