When you are screening candidates’ profiles through your search results, you may come across profiles with duplicate notifications, as shown in the screenshot below.
This happens when there are two or more profiles containing similar information to a certain degree but are not detailed enough for our AI to recognize as the same. When sourcing from multiple open web platforms, hireEZ will automatically merge candidates with highly identical profiles, but there are cases where you need to check the duplicates and manage these candidates manually.
If you find a duplicate notification, click on the View duplicates link and you will be led to a new page with the profiles listed in comparison.

You can click on the profile links on top to view the full details of the two candidates. You may choose to view the contact details of the candidates or check out their LinkedIn profile pages and other social links to make the judgment.

If you think the two profiles belong to two separate candidates, click on Keep as separate button on the upper right and hireEZ will distinguish the two profiles in the future.
If you believe the profiles are identical, you can select the candidate’s information from the two and combine them into one. You are able to preview the merged fields on the right column. When you are ready, click Merge and you will see a pop-up window asking you to confirm the decision. Click Yes, Merge to complete the action.

*Please note, you will NOT be able to revert the action after merging.
In addition to the duplicate notifications, you may also view and manage the duplicates from the All Candidates page. You may access the page via the navigation column on the left-hand side of the Home page.

For Business Tier users:
Click Merge Duplicates and you will be able to view the list of all the duplicate profiles in your talent pool. You can use the links on the right to view the details of the profiles and select whether they should be merged or kept separate.
