What is CCPA?

The California Consumer Privacy Act is a state statute intended to enhance privacy rights and consumer protection for residents of California, United States.

hireEZ and CCPA Compliance

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), any California consumer can request to view all information a company has saved on them along with a full list of all third parties that data is shared with. If privacy guidelines are violated, even if there is no breach, the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) may enforce the CCPA against the violator. hireEZ values consumer trust and is CCPA compliant.

CCPA Profiles in hireEZ

California candidates’ profiles are accessible to hireEZ users within the hireEZ platform without additional actions needed from the users. 

hireEZ is a registered data broker with the CA Department of Justice pursuant to California Civil Code § 1798.99.80. As such, we are exempt from providing notice at the time of collection as per 11 CCR 999.305(e). hireEZ’s data broker registry information (under our company’s legal name HireTeamMate, Inc.) can be found here.
